In February, Alan and I had the MOST amazing experience of going to the Special Olympics World Winter Games where my nephew was competing in Cross Country Skiing. It all started with the opening ceremonies in Boise on Saturday, then we went to Sun Valley Sunday. He did the preliminaries on Monday, competed in the 500m on Tuesday, placing 5th. On Wednesday, he did the 1K and placed 2nd! Finally, on Thursday, he competed in the Team Relay, and they placed 2nd! It was so much fun, a very humbling experience, and one that we will never forget! Thanks Rich & Janice for raising great kids! Thanks Shane for being such an outstanding athlete!
