ALL BECAUSE TWO PEOPLE FELL IN LOVE

I didn't blog all summer, and we had a very memorable one!
On June 10th, my parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. On June 13th, we had a FAMILY REUNION and I want to pay tribute to them and what they started.

Mom asked Dad how many kids he wanted. He said, "I want a basketball team and a set of cheerleaders." That's what he got...first five boys and then three girls.

They are the best parents and have done a remarkable job raising eight children, thirty-one grandchildren, and twenty-four great grandchildren! They instilled in each of us the love of the gospel of Jesus Christ, helping us gain testimonies of our own. They are the epitomy of what "true love" is all about!
Richard is the oldest. He married Janice Donaldson and they have four boys, and seven grandchildren. They live in Clarkston, Washington.
Their two sons and daughter-in-law were unable to attend due to work.

Bruce is second. He married Gaylene Quayle and they have seven children, and eight grandchildren. They live in Parma, Idaho. Jen & Paul Wood with children Hayden, Maycee, and Carson Jared, Jayme, and Morgan Thueson Seth, Ashley, Emma and Eliza Thueson Spencer, Jennifer, Beck and Thueson were not there for pictures, but came later. Casey and Kelly Thueson were married July 3, 2009.
Kayla and Beau live at home.

Rodney is third. He married Kimberly Rice and they have two daughters, two sons, and seven grandchildren. Their oldest daughter, Stephanie and her family were unable to attend. Rod and Kim live in Parma, Idaho.

Bryan is number four. He married Marlynae Hathaway and they live in South Jordan, Utah. They have four sons, and a daughter. Braun and Cade and their families were unable to attend, and Breann still lives at home. We hold the memories of Blake and Kyle in our hearts forever.
Kevin is the last of the five boys. He married Ginny Tucker and they live in Olathe, Kansas. They have one daughter, Brooke, who attends UVU in Orem, Utah.
I am the first of the three girls. You know all about me, but I still want to share our family photos! Scott & Kim are in Provo, UT attending BYU; Trent is currently at home until January when he will go back to BYU-I; and Clarissa is at UVU in Orem, UT.
Jolene is the 2nd daughter. She married Steve Thomas and they live in Ketchikan, Alaska. They have 3 daughters and one son.
Michele is the youngest of the family. She married Robert Kimmel and has two sons and a daughter. They live in Orem, Utah.

They have left a great legacy .

The eight children and the eight in-laws.

The grandchildren and the great grandchildren.

We are all striving to live up to our family motto...NO EMPTY CHAIRS!!

Special thanks for Steven Paul Mendoza for the great family photos, Rod and Bruce's families for the yummy food, Kevin & Michele's family for the exciting games, Jolene and Steve for all the super, fun candid shots, Richard's family for the tasty desserts, Bryan's family for the awesome program, and for everyone who shared their amazing talents!!

We had a wonderful time together!
